Meet Dr. Mangas
Dr. Josiah Mangas founded Mangas Family Chiropractic with a simple goal: provide effective care that actually makes sense for people and their families.
Through his experience as both a clinic manager and a chiropractor, Dr. Mangas saw how much better care could be when it was truly tailored to each patient. He noticed that many people were looking for a more personalized approach and a clearer understanding of their care, which helped shape the way he practices today.
That’s what led him to open his own practice.
Dr. Mangas focuses on understanding each patient and adjusting care based on what their body needs, not a routine. He uses a mix of hands-on techniques and gentle instrument-based methods so patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, can feel comfortable and confident in their care.
He has a strong passion for working with families, especially supporting moms through pregnancy and caring for kids as they grow. Some of his favorite days in the clinic are when parents and their kids are all being treated together. That is probably tied with getting to treat first time chiropractic patients, where he gets to witness the joy and relief people experience after their first treatment. He prides himself on explaining his treatment, and ensuring new chiropractic patients get a great first time experience.
Dr. Mangas also brings a personal understanding to his work. He has dealt with his own injuries and health challenges over the years, including joint injuries, bulged discs, vertigo, and chronic pain. He knows what it’s like to wonder if your body is going to keep holding you back, and how much it matters to find something that actually helps. That experience shapes how he listens, how he treats, and how he helps patients work through their recovery. He also is the doctor who is not afraid to tell you if you need to seek out another form of treatment, and will guide you where to go. He is thankful to have personal relationships with providers in many different surrounding fields after going through his own injuries. He sees this as a tool in his tool belt that allows him to refer patients to where they need to be if the body is needing more than what is being offered.
He grew up in the area and graduated from Monticello High School before attending St. Cloud State University, where he studied psychology and biology. He later earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University. As a former wrestler and college football player, and high level equestrian eventer he still enjoys helping athletes stay strong and perform at their best.
Dr. Mangas lives in Buffalo with his wife and two children. He loves being a dad and enjoys spending time together as a family, especially at the local lakes.
Whether you’re new to chiropractic or have been getting adjusted for years, Dr. Mangas takes the time to meet you where you’re at and make sure your care feels right for you.
